About this course
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 were designed to minimise the risk of people getting hurt when their job entails working in an environment where there is a risk of injury or death from falling. If you employ anyone whose job involves working from height at any time, this legislation applies to you. Training for working at height will teach your employees how to properly use equipment to maximise safety.
According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), falling from a height is the number one cause of work-related fatalities in Great Britain, responsible for 50 deaths in the year 2023/24, representing a sharp increase year-on-year. With fall-related fatalities on the rise, it’s more important than ever to ensure staff do not become complacent and always adhere to their responsibilities when going about their work.
This online Working at Heights Awareness training course covers what workers need to be aware of and work in line with all relevant legislation, when to appropriately use work equipment, and how to use ladders safely to reduce the risk of falls from heights. Upon successful completion, learners will gain a Working at Heights Awareness certificate.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course learners should know and understand the following:
