About this course

Employers have a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are aware of the potential presence of asbestos and related materials in the workplace. They must also be educated on the risks associated with exposure and understand how to prevent it. In addition, employers are required to provide the appropriate protective equipment to ensure the safety of their staff.

By enrolling in our Asbestos Awareness Train the Trainer course, you will gain the qualifications and expertise needed to deliver Asbestos Awareness training to your team. The course can be conducted at a venue of your choice by one of our experienced trainers, or alternatively, it can be delivered safely and conveniently through an interactive webinar.

Throughout the course, participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of key topics, including essential definitions related to asbestos, common locations where asbestos may be found, and the 1999 asbestos ban and its implications. The course will also cover government regulations and legal requirements regarding asbestos, how to conduct risk assessments, and how to develop and implement effective asbestos management plans. Additionally, participants will learn procedures for responding to asbestos-related emergencies.

In addition to these critical aspects, the course will focus on effective teaching methods and different learning styles, empowering participants to become confident in-house Asbestos Awareness trainers.
