About this course
Upon completion of this Safeguarding of Children Level 1 training course for schools, learners will understand what safeguarding children is, the legislation and responsibilities, how to spot the signs of abuse and neglect, how to respond to any concerns and what actions to take.
The Department of Education states that ‘anyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children’. It’s the duty of the schools to ensure their staff have up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding policies, legislation and guidance so they can keep children and young people safe from harm.
